This is a hands-on, high-impact IC role with broad influence. You'll work across Marketplace, Platform, Backend, Product, and Design teams to build scalable, high-performance user experiences that support business growth and long-term extensibility.

💼 What You'll Do
- Own and evolve the frontend architecture for the Marketplace platform ensuring scalability and long-term maintainability
- Lead complex frontend initiatives spanning multiple teams and services including catalog, checkout, and integrations
- Define and drive frontend engineering standards across Marketplace including architecture patterns and performance
- Partner closely with Backend and Platform teams on API design, contracts, and system boundaries
- Act as a technical advisor to Product and Design balancing user experience with engineering trade-offs
- Mentor and guide Staff and Senior engineers through design reviews and technical mentorship
✅ What You'll Need
- 10+ years of professional frontend engineering experience
- Deep expertise in
JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
- Proven experience owning large-scale frontend architectures across multiple teams
- Strong background in building shared component libraries and design systems
- Hands-on experience with frontend performance optimization including
Web Vitals
- Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction without direct authority

- Experience with marketplace, e-commerce, or transactional platforms
- Exposure to microfrontend architectures and frontend platformization
- Familiarity with cloud-native backends and distributed systems
- Experience in observability, DevOps, or platform engineering ecosystems
